Director's Disqualification Proceedings

 

The recent economic downturn is likely to see a number of businesses fail and enter into insolvency.  In some cases the conduct of the directors concerned may be called into question.

• Successfully defending two individuals in respect of proceedings brought by the DTI under the Companies Disqualification of Directors Act 1986 in 2009

 

• Successfully defending for four individuals in a substantial case brought by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform under the Companies Disqualification of Directors Act 1986 in 2010

 

• Successfully overturning a section 1A disqualification undertaking on behalf of an individual
