Charles Fussell & Co LLP was established in 2007 as a boutique litigation firm.  The firm converted to an LLP on 1st June 2010.  The firm’s expertise is in commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on the financial services sector.  We also undertake all forms of alternative dispute resolution and advise clients on ways to avoid disputes.

 

The firm is led by former barrister and Herbert Smith litigator Charles Fussell with support from solicitors and staff with litigation experience gained from leading City firms.

 

The firm combines the expertise of a City firm with the more hands-on and cost-effective approach of a boutique firm.  As the firm focuses only on contentious matters we are much less constrained than our competitors on the type of entity we can act against.  Commercial conflicts are becoming an ever increasing problem with many larger law firms. 

 

Given our size and low cost profile we can also take on lower value cases which would not be cost-effective for many larger firms.  We are often referred work by the leading UK and US firms where they have conflicts or where the amounts involved do not justify their involvement.

 

We have strong links with many leading sets of Chambers and we regularly use specialist Counsel at all levels to add to the expertise of the team and to reduce costs overall.
